Si uno decide ser pintor, se tiene que decidir que no se tiene miedo a hacer el ridículo. Otra cosa es encontrar temas que sean realmente absorbentes. Sin un tema que nos consuma, automáticamente se entra en la decoración.
El arte verdadero siempre nos regresa a la vulnerabilidad de la situación humana.
Tengo avidez por la vida. Tengo avidez como artista y es mi avidez la que me ha hecho vivir fortuitamente. Por la avidez, por pasar el rato..., beber..., para la emoción de la acción.
La vida es tan corta y, mientras me pueda mover y ver y sentir, quiero que la vida continue…, existiendo. Creo que el arte es una obsesión con la vida. Y después de todo, desde que somos seres humanos, nuestra mayor obsesión es con nosotros mismos.
He hecho muchos autoretratos, realmente porque la gente a mi alrededor ha estado muriendo como moscas y no ha quedado nadie para pintar, excepto yo mismo.
La manera en que he tratado de evocar la apariencia me hace cuestionar el significado mismo de la apariencia. Mientras más trabajo, el misterio de la apariencia se profundiza y necesitamos algo de magia para coagular el color y la forma para evocar la apariencia porque esa apariencia solo se capta por un único momento en el tiempo. En un segundo uno puede parpadear o mover la cabeza o mirar otra vez y la aparienza ha cambiado.
No me considero dotado, solo receptivo. No creo haber podido ser otra cosa que pintor. Y no sé…, después de todo, no conozco otro hombre… , no lo sé.
Todo lo que hago pasa a la pintura.

You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this matter to be really something that I think I would never understand. It seems too complicated and extremely broad for me. I am looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!

Its like you read my mind! You seem to know so much about this, like you wrote the ebook in it or something. I feel that you could do with a few p.c. to drive the message house a little bit, but instead of that, that is wonderful blog. A fantastic read. I will definitely be back.
